Case Study: The Super-CVG “Manure” Test – Quadrupling Yields (April 2026)
For this test, we targeted a prime horse manure equivalent, aiming for a 3% protein profile, by use of BAC supplementation. The base was our Bundu Boom CV (Coco/Vermiculite), prepared in a 10x8x50cm “Grow-in-Bag” at 80% moisture content via the Bundu-Tek method.
Substrate Dry Mass: 130g
Total Fresh Harvest: 510g (across 2 flushes)
Biological Efficiency (BE): 392.3%
The Verdict: Most commercial growers aim for 100% BE wit CVG, with 30-50% spawning rate. By aiming for a protein profile of pure aged pasture manure with precision additives, we quadrupled the BE fresh mushrooms using a purely synthetic, clean-handling mix and normal 5% spawning rate. This completely bypasses intense sterilization cycles tied to supplemented subtrates, with simple Pasteurization Bundu Tek.
Preperation
Bundu-Tek Method:
1. The Dump: Add your 1 kg coco coir and 5 Liters of vermiculite (600gram) in 20-Litre Bucket – or cooler box – break up the coco coir. Empty both kit ingredients (100ml tub BioaKt) and the Engine Bag ( about 500ml BAC) and dry mix to get to a homogenous consistency.
2. The Scald: Pour in 6000ml (6kg) of boiling water. Close the lid tightly to lock in the thermal mass.
3. The Pasteurize: Let sit for 12-16 hours. The substrate must be below 30°C before inoculation.
4. The Inoculate: Sanitize hands with rubbing alcohol. Mix thoroughly with your mushroom spawn and bag/box in your growing container.

Yield: Approximately 15-20 Liters of enriched substrate (when mixed with 1kg coco coir and 5L vermiculite).
Hydration: Final ~80% Moisture Content, achieved with approximately 6 Liters of boiling water.
