Eco Bini™ BioaKt is a complete media/substrate conditioning system developed for the Bundu Tek exact-hydration cultivation process. It combines alkaline pasteurization, pH buffering and a self-sanitizing nutrient matrix in one easy-to-use dry formulation.

Designed specifically for processed substrates such as pine pellets and coco coir, BioaKt prepares the media for inoculation while providing balanced nutritional supplementation without the need for contamination-prone supplements such as bran or soy hulls.

Primary Applications

🌲 Pine Pellet Mushroom Substrates

Transform ordinary compressed pine pellets into a conditioned gourmet mushroom substrate using the Bundu Tek exact-hydration process.

Recommended dosage:
5% of dry substrate mass or 50 g (approximately 5 level tablespoons) per kilogram of dry pine pellets.

🥥 Coco Coir Conditioning

BioaKt may also be used to prepare and buffer coco coir for mushroom cultivation or horticultural applications.

Recommended dosage:
3% of dry coir mass or 30 g (approximately 3 level tablespoons) per kilogram of dry coco coir.

Hydrate the coir to its working moisture content, mix thoroughly with BioaKt and allow it to condition for 24–36 hours before use.

The following results represent actual production trials carried out using exact-hydration substrate preparation methods.

2. Lion’s Mane on Pine: The “Impossible” Substrate

Lions mane on PineTraditional mycology suggests Lion’s Mane cannot thrive on Pine due to antifungal tannins and resins.

By using Bundu Teq and 6% BioaKt, we successfully neutralized these inhibitors, allowing for successful cultivation on 100% South African Pine Pellets using simple “Low-Tek” bucket methods.

 


3. Master’s Mix Equivalent: Breaking RecordsWhite Oyster on Bundu Masters Mix

We engineered a Pine Pellet mix to match the Nitrogen profile of the legendary “Master’s Mix” (1.1% N) with Bokashi Bam! Conola Meal. Using 3% BioaKt and Bundu Tek (strictly no sterilization), we obliterated our previous White Oyster record of 260g by almost 30%, producing a massive 330g single fruit body.

This proves that Selective Nutrition and Biological Occupancy can outperform the energy-intensive autoclave.

Applications

Pine Pellet Mushroom Substrates

BioaKt was specifically developed for engineered pine pellet media.

Unlike traditional lime pasteurisation, Bundu Tek uses exact hydration, where all of the process water remains within the substrate.

BioaKt performs several functions simultaneously:

  • Alkaline pasteurisation
  • pH buffering
  • Nutritional supplementation
  • Calcium enrichment
  • Sulphur supplementation
  • Natural kelp micronutrients

Recommended dosage

5% by dry substrate weight or 50 g (approximately 5 level tablespoons) per kilogram of dry pine pellets.

  • HWFP or Straw Pellets – 1%

BioaKt may also be used to prepare coco coir before use.

How BioaKt Works

Self-Sanitising Nutrient Matrix

Unlike conventional nutritional supplements such as bran or soy hulls, BioaKt’s formulation undergoes a self-sanitising period after packaging.

This allows nutritional components to be safely incorporated into exact-hydration media without introducing untreated organic supplements.

Traditional lime pasteurisation uses excess water, which is drained after treatment.

Bundu Tek instead hydrates processed substrates to their final working moisture content from the beginning.

This provides
