BlockGrip is a professional ThinBed Mortar (TBM) System developed in South Africa for fast, clean and economical masonry construction. Using the proven Dip-and-Stack method, builders can achieve consistent thin mortar joints with significantly less mortar, less waste to remove and faster construction than conventional block laying.

Unlike traditional thick-bed mortar that requires continuous trowelling, BlockGrip is mixed on-site with standard 42.5 MPa cement and fine plaster sand to produce approximately 150 kg of high-performance ThinBed Mortar from a single 1 kg concentrate.

Originally developed for the Stumbelbloc™ Interlocking Building System, BlockGrip is equally suitable for conventional concrete blocks, making it an ideal solution for housing, boundary walls, workshops, agricultural buildings and general masonry construction.

One-Bag Batch

Each 1 kg bucket of BlockGrip Concentrate produces approximately 150 kg of ThinBed Mortar by combining:

• 1 × 50 kg bag of 42.5 MPa Cement
• 1 × Level 65 L wheelbarrow of fine plaster sand
• 1 × 1 kg BlockGrip Concentrate
• Water added gradually to a smooth honey consistency

Coverage: Approximately 400 blocks (≈160 linear meter of wall, or ≈ 32 m² ).

Only mix what can be used within approximately two hours.
