Why choose the 35cm “Mother” Bag over standard 50cm bags?
While our larger bags are the industry standard for growing Commercial G2 grain, the 35cm Mother Bag is the “Goldilocks” size for grain spawn. It prevents the grain from being packed too deep – the bag is designed to take 500-750ml spawn optimally – maximum up to 1L. With less volume your autoclave will heat up full bag contents to sterilisation pressures and temperatures quicker. This gives a ‘cleaner’ grain substrate to inoculate your G2 from.
