How to Use:

1. Test the Solution: Dip the meter’s probe into the hydroponic nutrient solution.
2. Read the Results: Wait for the reading to stabilize and note the ppm value displayed. For odd positions there this a “HOLD” button to retain reading.
3. Adjust Nutrients: Based on the reading, adjust the nutrient concentration by adding more nutrients or diluting with water as needed.

Over the years have had and tested many EC Meters from 7-in-1 Variants to the Smartphone linked BLE series. But really impressed with this TDS meter for following reasons:

• Like the Hanna range uses table salt (NaCl) for PPM detection, allows easy calibration (1mg NaCl/litre distilled water = 1 PPM)
• Easy to convert to conventional EC (Electric conductivity), 1PPM = 2 μS/cm
• Cost effective

🛠️ SPeS Pro-Tip: DIY Calibration Most meters require expensive calibration fluids. Not this one. Because it uses the NaCl scale, you can make your own 1000ppm calibration solution at home:

1. Take 1 Liter of Distilled Water.

2. Dissolve exactly 1.0g of pure Table Salt (NaCl).

3. Your meter should read 1000ppm.
   Scale it down: For a quick check, add 0.1g of salt to 100ml of distilled water.
