Coco coir is a phenomenal growing medium—but in its raw or merely “washed” state, it is an active threat to your nutrient solution. Because of its natural Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), untreated coir acts like a sponge for your Calcium and Magnesium, stealing them from your plant and replacing them with harmful salts.

The STS Buffer-Charge uses a laboratory-verified 7:2 dual-salt protocol to reverse this effect, saturating the fibre with the nutrients your plant needs before it even touches the root zone.

Application Protocol:

1. Place your dry 5kg coco block in a container (Wheelbarrow is recommended).

2. Evenly sprinkle one 50g Buffer-Charge sachet over the dry block.

3. Add 50L of water.

4. Break up block after 2 hours to ensure even distribution and hydration.

5. Wait 36–48 hours for complete cation exchange.

6. Drain and rinse with 20L rainwater.

7. Proceed with your grow.
