Our 1kg Sterilized Sorghum Grain Spawn Bags are engineered for maximum reliability and ease of use. Each bag contains 1kg of red sorghum (Milo), optimally hydrated to 43–45% Moisture Content using our unique “Steep-Not-Cook” method. This ensures zero burst grains and a free-flowing consistency that colonizes up to 30% faster than standard over-hydrated bags.

Now upgraded with an integrated Self-Healing Injection Port (SHIP) for rapid, low-risk Liquid Culture (LC) or Liquid Inoculant (LI) inoculation.

🛡️ The STS Sterility Standard

• Integrated SHIP: Inject your Liquid Culture or Inoculum safely with zero exposure to ambient air.

• High-Pressure Sterilization: Unlike home-cooked grain, STS spawn is processed at 120kPa (17.5 PSI) for a full 90 minutes, ensuring total thermal penetration and neutralization of heat-resistant endospores.

• Visible Proof (Autoclave Tape): Every bag is secured with Type 1 Autoclave Indicator Tape on the flap. The blackened stripes provide mechanical proof that the bag has successfully undergone high-pressure sterilization.

• High-Spec Filtration: Features a 0.2 µm PTFE filter patch for total protection against contaminants while maintaining essential gas exchange.

• Integrity Seal: Processed using a self-seal cooling method and then heat-sealed, creating a high-integrity barrier that protects the grain until inoculation.

• The 7-Day Quarantine: Every bag undergoes a mandatory 7-day incubation at our Sustainability Testing Station (STS) to ensure it is 100% clean before it leaves our facility.
