The Mechanical Moat: Proprietary Tapered Compression Seal

Traditional autoclavable lab jars rely on silicone gaskets or foam liners that perish, trap moisture, and harbour hidden bacterial endospores over time. The Eco Bini™ design features matching moulded taper profiles on both the jar lip and the inside of the lid. When tightened, they form a double positive mechanical seal that is 100% airtight and liquid-tight without needing a single perishing gasket component.

• The Handy Range Design: Sculpted with a sleek, tapered body profile, the Handy Jar fits comfortably and securely in the palm of your hand for effortless dispensing and steady, one-handed control during critical procedures.
• Anti-Drip Lip: The curved, full-bore upper rim acts as a specialized pouring shield, ensuring liquid media shears cleanly off the edge instead of trickling down the sidewall when pouring agar petri dishes or filling culture vessels.
• Ultimate Customization Canvas: These clean, filter-only style vessels are incredibly simple to modify. Users can easily convert them into custom BioJars or Liquid Culture (LC) vessels by adding a 0.25-micron breathable PTFE membrane filter patch and/or a Self-Healing Injection Port (SHIP).

Operational Guidelines for Growers:

• Media Capacity: Although the absolute structural volume is 320ml, we recommend filling to a maximum of 250ml of liquid media or agar solutions to prevent boil-over during decompression cycles.
• Autoclave Protocol: Crucial! When autoclaving or pressure cooking, always loosen the cap a quarter-turn to allow safe internal pressure equalization. Once the cycle finishes and the unit cools completely, tighten the lid down to lock in the positive compression seal.
• The Spawn Option: Can be used as-is for mother spawn or grain expansion. Simply screw the lid tight to safely shake and break up the mycelium, then back the lid off a quarter-twist to allow the vessel to breathe cleanly, just like a standard petri dish.
