Advanced biological repellent engineered to displace burrowing moles, mole-rats, and garden pests without toxic poisons or lethal traps.

Evacuate destructive subterranean moles naturally without traps or poison.

Stop lawn, crop, and paving destruction without toxic poisons or hazardous carcasses. Mole Away! is an advanced biological repellent formulated specifically to displace burrowing subterranean mammalsβ€”including true garden moles, golden moles, Common Mole-Rats, and the giant Cape Dune Mole-Rat (Strandmol).

Unlike conventional Western repellents that require flooding thousands of liters of water over lawns, Mole Away! utilizes a targeted subterranean injection method. Dispensing just 20 ml directly into an active shaft saturates the enclosed air space with high-potency volatile compounds, driving pests out without wasting water or washing active ingredients into the water table.

The multi-modal lipid emulsion combines thermal-extracted Capsaicinoids (TRPV1 heat/pain channel active) and Eugenol (TRPA1 chemical irritant channel active) with organosulfur compounds from Lactic Acid Fermented Garlic Extract (LAFEGE). Together, these actives trigger acute trigeminal sensory overload and destroy colony scent markers. Suspended in an acidic, expanded Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB-X) carrier with Castor Oil, contact during tunnel clearing induces long-term EP3Β receptor-mediated gut aversion, preventing neighboring populations from recolonizing treated runs.

Key Benefits

  • 100% Organic & Non-Lethal: Safely evacuates pests without leaving toxic chemical residues or hazardous underground carcasses.
  • Dual-Action Evacuation: Simultaneously triggers trigeminal nerve overload and turns subterranean roots unpalatable.
  • Targeted Injection System: Concentrated 20 ml doses saturate tunnel air directly, eliminating the need for heavy bulk watering.
  • High-Yield Bettix Bottle: A single 500 ml Bettix bottle provides up to 25 direct shaft treatments.

Pro Tip for Long-Lasting Potency: We retain extra-fine chilli and clove botanical powders directly inside the bottle for continuous active extraction. Give your Bettix bottle a quick shake before dispensing to evenly distribute the matrix.

Application

Method 1: Hot Direct-Inject

(Recommended for Deep Burrowers: Strandmolle, Dune Mole-Rats & Gophers)

Use this thermal protocol to penetrate extensive, deep gallery systems and prevent large rodents from excavating past the application point.

  1. Locate & Expose Shaft: Clear fresh soil heaps to locate and open the main subterranean shaft entrance.
  2. Flash-Emulsify: Squeeze 20 ml of Mole Away! into a container, add 250 ml of hot water (50Β°C – 70Β°C), and swirl for 5 seconds to form a warm micro-emulsion.
  3. Deep Injection: Pour the steaming emulsion directly down the exposed shaft so the warm matrix coats deep subterranean tunnel bends.
  4. Seal Immediately: Instantly plug and seal the hole with excavated mound soil, tamping firmly down to lock expanding hot vapors inside the tunnel network.

Method 2: Neat Direct Application

(For Shallow Surface Runs & Golden Moles / Kruipmolle)

Use this protocol for shallow surface ridges where hot water volume might erode soil structure.

  1. Expose Run: Gently clear topsoil over an active surface ridge or fresh shallow mound.
  2. Dispense Neat: Squeeze 20 ml of undiluted Mole Away! directly onto the floor of the exposed tunnel.
  3. Seal & Tamp: Immediately backfill with soil and press down firmly to seal in volatile vapors.
  4. Sequential Perimeter Strategy: Treat active mounds sequentially, working outward from house foundations or protected crop beds toward property boundaries to drive pests off the site.

How It Works

Mole Away! operates via a multi-sensory barrier system that attacks subterranean mammals through taste, smell, and nerve irritation simultaneously:

Active Bio-Ingredient Primary Mode of Action & Biological Impact
Castor Oil (Ricinoleic Acid) Primary gustatory active. Contact or ingestion during tunnel clearing binds to intestinal EP3Β prostanoid receptors, triggering acute smooth-muscle hyper-motility and severe stomach cramping to establish conditioned location aversion.
Clove Powder (Eugenol Matrix) Binds aggressively to subterranean TRPA1Β nerve channels (cold/chemical irritant receptors) across the snout, eyes, and nasal mucosa. High vapor pressure in enclosed shafts creates immediate nasal burning.
Extra Hot Chilli Powder (Capsaicinoids) Selectively targets TRPV1Β nerve channels (heat/pain receptors). In combination with eugenol, capsaicin triggers synergistic sensory overload across the trigeminal system.
Fermented Garlic Extract (LAFEGE) Synthesizes SAC (garlic) and PSOΒ (onion) organosulfur precursors. Volatile compounds flood the tunnel, masking territorial scent markers and spatial navigation cues.
Organic Lactic Acid Base (LAB-X) Acidic (pH} < 3.5) preservation matrix that stabilizes volatile phenols and locks in shelf stability without synthetic preservatives.

US Gopher Studies & The Elephant Garlic Advantage

Research on North American pocket gophers (Geomyidae) confirms that organosulfur compounds derived from Allium species act as strong olfactory spatial deterrents:

  • Scent-Masking & Olfactory Irritation: Subterranean mammals rely on acute olfactory cues to locate roots and navigate lightless shafts. Concentrated organosulfurs irritate nasal passages while masking the scent of root networks.
  • The Elephant Garlic Synergy: Because Elephant Garlic (Allium ampeloprasum) is biologically a wild leek, its biochemical pathway generates both SACΒ (S-allylcysteine) and PSO (propanethial S-oxide, the lacrimatory factor found in onions).

Combining LAFEGE with Clove (Eugenol) and Chilli (Capsaicin) replicates multi-chemical repellent matrices evaluated in agricultural trials against pocket gophers, delivered in a single, convenient drench.
