The MicroFlow CFT is more than a worm bin.

It is a complete educational starter system demonstrating the principles of Continuous Flow-Through (CFT) vermicomposting—the same technology used by commercial worm farms to produce high-quality vermicompost while continuously processing organic waste.

Designed at the Sustainability Testing Station (STS), this compact demonstration unit allows beginners to understand the engineering, biology and operating principles behind CFT systems before building larger installations of their own.

What’s Included

• Completed MicroFlow CFT Chassis: 20L drum with bottom cut-out, strengthening support,  and sturdy T-piece legs.
• MicroFlow CFT Engineering: Hand-modified at the STS with our custom PP/Nylon Ladder-Mesh base.
• The Living Biology Starter Kit: A full Vermicomposting Starter Kit containing a fresh 1 Litre colony of healthy Red Wigglers (approx. 300–600 active Eisenia fetida) packed in a breathable tub with Vermi-Syn³ bio-enriched stabilizer.
• High-Expansion Bedding: 1 kg compressed Coco Coir block (expands to roughly 12L of rich, moist bedding once hydrated).
• Starting Disc: Cardboard base disc to retain the initial bedding layer when first setting up the unit.
• The Blueprint: Digital access to the STS Continuous Flow-Through (CFT) Reactor Manual.

📚 Legacy Training System

The original MicroFlow kit introduced hundreds of growers to Continuous Flow-Through vermicomposting. While production is now limited, the engineering principles remain unchanged and continue through our STS Practical course and the next-generation PicoFlow CFT systems.
