Organic Elephant Garlic Corms (Bulblets)
20 Individual Vernalized Heirloom Corms
The Most Cost-Effective Way to Start Your Elephant Garlic Patch
Elephant Garlic Corms (also called bulblets) are the small, hard seed structures found at the base of a mature bulb. They offer the highest volume-for-money planting material for dedicated growers wanting to build a large patch over time.
While they require more patience than cloves or rounds, corms are excellent for long-term propagation and following the full natural Elephant Garlic cycle.
Important: The Corm Challenge
Corms have a strong natural dormancy and can be tricky for beginners:
- They often need pre-treatment (nicking, soaking, cold vernalization) to break dormancy.
- Correct orientation (pointy side up) is critical.
- Expect slower results — they typically grow into a Solo Round in Year 1, then a full multi-cloved bulb in Year 2.
Honest Advice: If you’re new to Elephant Garlic or want fast, reliable results, rather choose our Cloves or Rounds. Corms are best for experienced or patient growers.
